Seismic Games, headquartered near Santa Monica, is comprised of some Industry veterans with some rather astounding connections. During their formative years pitching ideas, they enlisted my help with their Hollywood-infused mobile trivia game Behind the Scenes. Duties included traditional UI and UX design, but tailored around pitch-material to major motion picture studios in Los Angeles.

Pitch material works a bit differently than rote user interface design. You’re mostly about the sizzle, so it has to lean more towards the exciting than the practical. And yet, all the work has to exist within the realm of the practical – lest you throw away months of work if the best-case scenario happens and a Client wants to move forward. So in developing Behind the Scenes, we paid special attention towards creating arresting material for prospective with a modular design for rapid iteration.
