After riding high off the success of Call of Duty Ghosts, Seismic Games and I began work on the user interface of Call of Duty Advanced Warfare. This time we were involved in a few of the Shell screens for the game proper, as well as for the companion app. That meant taking the existing console art direction and making sure its elements worked in a mobile format while also being responsive across platforms.
But the effort was completely worth it. Call of Duty Advanced Warfare would go on to become the top selling game of 2014, thanks in part to its holistic approach to multiple SKU’s. I was thrilled to be a part of the team that helped to spread the message and messaging of the IP even further than before.
